Calpe is mainly known for several reasons: The Rock of Ifach, of course, and the beautiful beaches. During the summer people around the world visit us because they want to live the really Spanish life. Honestly this beach is quiet than Benidorm but still hundreds of people have a bath everyday. Calpe is best known for its fine sandy beaches and great value fish restaurants. There are two stunning beaches to choose from, one either side of the mighty rock. Both beaches have beautiful long promenades and a great selection of bars and cafes. The fish restaurants are to be found mainly around the marina and the town centre has some excellent local shopping facilities, including a large street market.It is a pleasure to climb the rock of Ifach to photograph the beach, montains, cliffs and flora, the old town of Calpe is small but very cozy, you can find an old church of fifteenth century (Plaza de la Villa), museums and nice buildings.
